Welcome to South Elementary!

Our mission is to ensure high levels of learning for each and every student. Our school works as a professional learning community where we continue to focus on learning, collaborating, and looking at data to improve. We are committed to your child’s success. Each grade level and enrichment team frequently meets to plan instruction to best meet your child’s needs. Every day, students participate in W.I.N. (What I Need). During this time, students receive additional reading interventions or extensions.

Here at South Elementary, we also focus on the social and emotional needs of our students. We use a program called “True Success” which teaches students character development skills that will help them in school and life. Our staff understands the importance of positive recognition. We use South Rocks tickets and Positive Office Referrals to highlight students who demonstrate positive behavior. We understand the importance of strong relationships and value family and community partnerships. It truly takes a village and together we can provide strong support for our students.
